Speakers of this webinar were members of ESSA Iloilo City Cluster invited to share their respective expertise. Dr. Tetchie Layson talk was on “Bridging the Gap” Human Health and the Entire Ecosystem; in which she spoke about the interconectedness of the health of all living things on this planet. Aeon Mapa spoke on Soil Health and Nutrient Content, Vermi Composting, Growing Home Veggies and Herbs. The webinar concluded with Suzy Dae Guadaña’s success story: “Basura Mo, Tamnan Ko-How this mom battles depression by rocking the urban farming community.”
Iloilo City cluster is looking forward to more collaborations to widen the scope and spread of Urban Gardening not only in Iloilo, but also around the country. Truly, planting in a pot does create a different form of healing, not only physically but also psychologically and spiritually.
Even with a limited space available to grow your food, combining proper technology, healthy soil, discipline and other necessary inputs in gardening, a good and fresh source of food can be readily available in every home.
