The Basic Ecology and Biodiversity Orientation-Workshop for ESSA Youth was attended by 21 youth participants from Antique and Iloilo. The youth learned the importance of understanding the ecology and biodiversity in the context of the Philippines. The different wildlife and endangered species of the Visayas was also discussed and what are the possible ways to take care of them. At the end of the workshop, the participants created a plan that can be implemented in their respective areas in San Remegio, University of Antique and Iloilo. They also planted trees at the site of the Dihon Sa ‘Raya Institute Steiner School.
The workshop was birthed through the intention of the ICW youth participants who wanted a follow up activity after the ICW. They also expressed that the ESSA workshops are really different from their usual workshops. ESSA workshops can really meet their inner most desire and intention to have a better future.
