ESSA General Assembly, February 19, 2022

The General Assembly was held last February 19, 2022 via zoom. Despite the challenges of coordinating the schedules of the members, many were able to attend the yearly gathering. The ESSA network is nationwide and most of the members are engage in exceptional initiatives in their own localities. To see the faces of the members from all over the country was somewhat overwhelming and the members were inspired by each other’s presence.

The assembly was hosted by Aeon Mapa, representative from the Farmer’s Sector who also won the Council Presidential election that was done via online voting which lasted for 2 and a half days. For the past month, the members held sectoral meetings to elect their representatives to the ESSA Council.

The accomplishments for year 2021 was presented by the Secretariat, as well as the network’s target for the year 2022. Sectoral accomplishments were also presented during the assembly and it was nostalgic to see all the activities, workshops, friendships and initiatives that were birthed last year. 2022 is also an exciting year for the network as new Council Members were elected. Below is the list of the council for the year 2022 – 2024.

We are excited for the possibilities this 2022 and its all possible because of the commitment from the members, their time, skills, knowledge and resources. Our vision of a sustainable societies will not be possible with out all of you. Let us continue and further develop where we are as a network.
