The Farmers Sector hosted the second webinar series organized by the ESSA Council. The webinar was facilitated by Dindin Daliva, a member of the council as the Visayas Cluster representative. She is also a co-holder of a fledgling ecovillage in Bayawan that demonstrates a way of life in harmony with the rhythms of nature.
“Harnessing the Regenerative and Restorative Power of Sustainable Agriculture”. Dindin gave an outline of the current climate emergency and environmental degradation humanity is currently facing within both local and global contexts and what the future holds for all of us when we are not able to avert this crisis.

Although the challenges ahead of us are gargantuan and require complex solutions at the systems level, one of the many solutions we can take can be found right under our feet. Soil, healthy living soil, and its role in the restoration and regeneration of our degraded ecosystems. Here, Dindin shared the basic soil restoration principles and what steps we can take to heal our land.
